the twinkle is very snotty at the moment and has been wearing her cranky pants for a couple of days. we are going through tissues and wipes at ridiculous speed because once we wipe her nose, she then needs to copy with about 10 more tissues, one at a time until we go crazy and confiscate the box from her.
she did something very cute last night and this morning (which was a good antidote after dealing with her snot all day yesterday). she had cried sadly when k left for work yesterday (”mommmmm? mommmmmmm?”) and cried again when i left her with my parents to go to a meeting. last night, when k and i were both in the twinkle’s room getting her into her pyjamas, she stood up in just her singlet (pantsless, as usual) and went and found a little handbag in her toy box. then she got some plastic keys and her bum cream and packed them in her handbag. then she went around the room kissing everyone goodbye (including the rocking horse, the rocking elephant, the little characters on her nappy box, the baby on her wipes packet) and waved and went to the front door. so cute! she did it again this morning when i was dressing her. it seems to be the first time (that we’ve observed) where she’s really using her imagination and roleplaying.
on the weekend i took her christmas shopping and she insisted on bringing the above handbag, and insisted on bringing in her handbag my “you can do the cube” book. i don’t think werribee plaza has ever seen such a child prodigy!

I can just see her with her little handbag going off to shop. Cute.
